Cistaea – a PDF sewing pattern for a light and airy summer dress!
With our Cistaea pattern, you can sew your dream dress in many beautiful variations. A drawstring highlights the waist, and darts in the bodice create a flattering silhouette.
You can choose from six variations to design your personal dream dress:
- Skirt: a flowing tiered midi skirt or an elegant A‑line skirt
- Sleeves: playful wide puff sleeves or simple set‑in sleeves
- Neckline: round neckline or V‑neck
Our photo tutorial guides you through the entire project step by step. All of our patterns are drafted by a professionally trained pattern maker with over 15 years of experience – not by AI. Each pattern is tested by sample sewists before release. The photos show our sewn design samples (no 3D images).

📏 Sizes: This multi‑size pattern includes EU/DE sizes 32–58.

🪡 Fabric recommendations: Light, drapey woven fabrics. For hot weather and airy options, we recommend lightweight cotton, cotton‑linen blends, or silk‑cotton blends such as batiste, voile, or crêpe de Chine. Lightweight poplin or chambray will give the dress more structure.
You will also need lightweight fusible interfacing for woven fabrics.
